Hour Aside was founded by Tom Maryniak, facilitator, artist and co-founder of Lisboa Social Press, a creative Lisbon based studio that hosted workshops, events and retreats for groups and organisations.

During lockdown, the company adapted their workshops for an online audience, becoming the first drawing experience available online through Airbnb. Since then, they have welcomed thousands of participants from around the world and received more than 1,000 five-star reviews through Airbnb alone.

What they discovered was that their unique experience was never really about drawing, that the real value lay in creating moments of connection, attention, curiosity and play.

Today, Hour Aside delivers both in-person and online workshops that help people reconnect, collaborate and see one another differently.
